And what a whirlwind week this has been!
If you didn't know already from articles in TV Guide Online, the producers and
writers of the original Small Wonder are vying to launch a new show. Despite what
TV Guide asserts, there is no "war" or conflict of goals among the contenders and all
involved seek a mutually beneficial means to achieve what we all want: A new series
that will be far beyond what it used to be.
The web and Usenet is rift with chronic Small Wonder critics and doubters and
cynics about the new show and its promise to be much more sophisticated and
devoted to the sci-fi side of Vicki's concept. There are people out there who truly
loathe Small Wonder with near religious fever, even equating its very existance as
being so bad that the show's "evil"! It's peculiar that they so label a quiet
innocuous series about a little robot and say nothing about the real cesspools on
the net which are corrupting morals and lives and promoting bigotry on many
sick levels. I guess that says far more about the mentality of these off-the-wall
passionate Small Wonder dumpers than what they presume motivates the sysops of
the Small Wonder Home Page. Then there are many just sitting on the fence who
are interested to see whether we can really pull a new more maturer and intriguing
treatment off at all in lieu the previous show.
That is our challenge; to fulfill Small Wonder's sci-fi destiny!
New videos are being digitized and SW tee-shirt transfers being printed and
mailed out, so please be patient! It wouldn't hurt speeding up things either by
posting any SW or robotic news or views or show or page critiques in Vicki's Cabinet! ;)
Tomorrow is my birthday but that's small potatos and a radar blip next to
another birthday today of someone without whom our Vicki couldn't tick and the
show's attraction probably wouldn't have gotten as far as it has. Her commercial
and television career prior Small Wonder was on a sparkling road of great
promises and was destined for major television and film projects hadn't she run
into Small Wonder. Playing Vicki was to prove a bittersweet double-edged sword
for her, playing a unique and difficult role that required her to rein back all
her emotions and animated talents so to fully effect the role of a robot. A role
she carried off magnificently, yet ironically a stoic and expressionless role
that was to deny her a winning display of her protean talents to casting agents
and the world and thus was to typecast her as a wooden player.
All who knew her know that this was far from the truth and that she was as
180-degrees from Vicki as you can get. But the damage was done, and after Small
Wonder and facing a dearth of new roles and heartless mocking in school and public
life, she fully turned her talents and soul into doing good selfless works far from
Tinseltown's flakey fortunes. Small Wonder 2000 will take her inspiration and lessons
to heart when Vicki's torch is passed on to a plucky new young actress.
To this long unsung and grossly unappreciated actress this page is partly
dedicated as is her fan club and we forever wish Tiffany Brissette and her family
the very best and well in their very human lives.
And to all, The Small Wonder Home Page wishes a Happy New Year and
Grand Millennium; The Millennium of ADAs and V.I.C.I.!
I plan to issue one more bulletin this millennium on the 26th; the birthday
of V.I.C.I.'s alter ego, Tiffany Brissette (by happy coincidence a day ahead of mine,
real ladies first!) in recognition of her thespian sacrifice giving us the pleasure of this
pioneering sci-fi sitcom at the expense of being typecasted out of a career. It's my
understanding that she's now a very lovely young woman who's also selflessly sharing
the beauty of her heart serving God.
Currently the Small Wonder Home Page is undergoing an underground face-lift
of sorts as its ftp is reassembled into a more logical and straightforward
configuration, courtesy and kudos of Lindsey Rush, a Small Wonder Home Page
sysop. So if some of your bookmarks seem screwy lately, that's the reason and
just click on some new ones and you'll be happy again!
I'd like to thank everyone who's contributed to Vicki's Cabinet and left
letters at Tiffany's Fan Club page. This site is here for you fans!
Yes, Victoria, there is a Small Wonder Tee-shirt and they are being reissued
via Rush. Just be sure we've your postal address if you've been previously
slated for one.
Lots is going on behind the scenes here. Delays in fanfics will soon be
lifted and the episodes-on-tap are being rendered available, one by one. We hope
to dramatically speed this along once we gain access to DSL or a high-density
removable hard drive. For now, please be patient. It takes literally a week and
over a hundred-plus hours to digitize and download each episode.
We are in the market for fans with high-powered graphics machines to render
some spiffy new features for us in the near future, so if you'd like to be a
Small Wonder sysop just drop me a letter at SmallWonder@fan.net. Ditto any
fanfics you might have. A good example of the kinds of diversity of stories
we're looking for can be seen in "The VICKI Disks" and "Future's End."
So until the 26th, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

Greetings Small Wonder Fans
The first of the newest proofread fanfics are being posted in our Fanfics &
Art section. The long awaited fourth installment of "The VICKI Disks" is now
online, as shortly a new short story titled "Tiffany II". Before I proceed,
it's necessary that readers understand the facts of life behind "VICKI Disks
IV" so not as lead presumptions that the authoresses had a mind-change about
not continuing the series. VD-4 was already along in the draft stage before Ms.
Webber and Brianne Hull, thanks to the relative lack of fan feedback despite
the large download ratio off the previous chapters, decided to suspend the saga
and concentrate on true online publishing. It also didn't help their choice in
our favor when they suspected some recent TV shows may've "lifted" telltale
elements off their work.
After much deliberation, the authoresses passed us the VD-4 draft which has
been proofed and filled in over the space of several months. Fans of this page
will note that the chapter was promised months ago, but unfortunately other
life matters intervened. Not to spoil any suspense, VD readers should know
that VD-4 was not a hasty "wrap up" of the novel, but a continuous chapter.
The authoresses intended this to be a true paperback-type novel, now shelved.
As a result, not only is VD-4 not as polished as the previous chapters, but it
might well be the premature final chapter in this most exciting and
well-executed cross-treatment of two different series formats. Fans might wish
to directly communicate their concerns to the authoresses via e-mail, and even
better, display it by encouraging others to give these unpaid talents the kudos
and feedback they long due deserve. "Questor" fans should pay the VD series's
faithfulness to Gene Roddenberry's creation particular attention because it
carries the flavor of what a Questor TV series would've been like.
"Tiffany II" is an interesting work by "Dr.Z" that isn't true Small Wonder
fanfic, but entails some interesting sci-fi situations for the actress's
child-self. It will posted around this coming Sunday.
"Victoria's Secret" by "Octorocks" also has a draft, however the author is
awaiting some "encoreware" before releasing it. Again, if you're a lover of
fanfics, it only takes a second to post a "thank you" in Vicki's Cabinet or via
e-mail for entertainment that'd easily run you a few bucks in a store.
We are looking for fans with the "Poser" 3-D program or its equivalent to
do some special robotics motion graphics for some coming features of ours!
Please reach me via the above e-mail hotlink!
In the more mundane scene, fans will note that the T-shirt transfers are
more than just slightly tardy. All I can say is we haven't forgotten any of
you and the mailing list is quite intact and product will be on its way to
you soon as humanly possible. It bears repeating that this page is operated
by fans on TWO _paid_ servers, one by myself and Lindsey Rush, and attended
with oddles of patience, lots of midnight oil burned uploading videos and zero
corporate sponsorship and fan dues. This in back the time demands of real world
jobs and families, so do understand when we take a little time finding some
time to dig into our moth-eaten wallets to buy the $$ inks and special paper
and postage to get your freebie personal tokens of Vicki off to you!
Thanks.

Greetings Small Wonder Fans:
Most of us in the Western Hemisphere have had to labor through torrid
weather which has put a strain on electric utilities, water, and nerves. In
the Big (baked) Apple where I live, saunas are going out of business.
Much work designated for the site has been put on hold because of this
and the seasonal scholastic volunteer pool. I know there are many concerns
and frustraions out there, so allow me to address a few:
FanFics
These are major holdups by the nature of writing and the written page.
Proofreading and editing is very labor-intensive, especially when you don't get
a check for it and the family and job's clamoring for equal time. We do have
several very good fanfics in the can to throw up on the site, among them
Octorock's works, but time is jealous and selfish and I can only deal with
several masters one at a time. I am also negotiating to have the authoresses
of "The Vicki Disks" continue the saga. One of our co-sysops and webmistress
of her own Tiffany Brissette Friends Page, Kathleen, has managed to shoehorn
enough time to write a novel "A Time To Di For" which can be had at Amazon.com.
New PG/R-Rated Small Wonder Page
This is a new wrinkle in the Small Wonder web ring worth a peek, created by
SW co-sysop Leslie Lerias. If you're familiar with most the insider features on
the Small Wonder page, you'd read that most of the writers, including our
generous returning guest producer/chief writer of Small Wonder, Mel Sherer,
have expressed regrets that Small Wonder did not live up its sci-fi potential.
There's lots of this found on the Cabinet Of Contents, but the point is that
Small Wonder dropped the ball in exploring the social and domestic and
emotional ramifications of a humanoid servant in the home, and is the main stay
of reasons for a renewed series to execute these more mature sci-fi concepts.
Leslie's page offers fiction that explores this other real-life realm of Small
Wonder's possibilities.
The Small Wonder T-shirt Transfers
Currently I am getting my ducks in a row to honor this offering. It must
be understood that this fan page does not receive any contributions from any
parties outside the donations of time and labor and wallets of its sysops.
It's really rock-bottom essential everyone comprehends that. The transfers are
bought, created, milled out and posted on our own time and money.
Unfortunately, the real worlds of families and jobs can crimp the most
passionate hobby, and it's no exception here. It'd be great if running it
was a full-time wage-earning job because you'd get a page like no other, but
alas, it isn't so. Right now I'm scrapping up the bucks to get some transfers
out but it's been very slow going for various reasons. But there's one thing
that everyone should know:
WE DON'T FORGET OUR PAGE FANS!
We intend to be around a long time through thick and thin for the same
reasons you doted the show.
Renegade Ripoff Small Wonder Pages
Lately there've sprung up pages which have liberally and easy-as-you-please
without a shred of conscience, ripped off the very images we've worked so very
hard to digitize and process and post. Morality and art asides, it gives you
an idea just how LAZY these "sysops" must be! Since Small Wonder is property
of Fox Television, we naturally have no rights in objecting to the use of this
material. These slimy sites have nothing nice to say about the characters or
premise of the show and go out of their way to be vulgar. In a word, their
pretended Small Wonder parodies are just gutter humor in disguise. If you
truly like the show and its players, rob these sleezy sites of hits to starve
into oblivion by simply not going and never mentioning them to a soul again.
Star Contacts
Of course there's almost nothing better than the idea of the actors making
appearances on our Vicki's Cabinet forum. We have Mel Sherer, a regular on our
Vicki's Cabinet forum, who was the show's producer and chief writer, available
for any questions about the show, his career and writing in Hollywood. Take
advantage of his curtesy. As for the players, we've intermittently had Dick
Christie (now a major screen writer and director) and Marla Pennington (mom and
housewife and den mother) dropping by, but their schedules crimp their inputs.
We've yet heard from Emily Schulman and Edie McClug, but it doesn't mean we
haven't been paging them. Of course the jewel in the crown is the enigmatic
Tiffany Brissette, whose own personal and spiritual trials and travails seems
to preclude any possibility of her making any appearance here. The e-mail we
receive at SmallWonder@fan.net proves she still has a legion of fans, yet
ironically it's that very showing that I believe is discouraging her from
making a simple "Hi" on Vicki's Cabinet. It's important to remember that
Tiffany Brissette is NOT Vicki or V.I.C.I. but her own person, was a talented
actress in her own right before being shadowed by the typecasting of Vicki.
Unfortunately she never had a chance to get out from under and strut those
protean talents of hers. Leonard Nimoy wrote a very good autobiography "I Am
Not Spock!" which all should take a scan at to get an idea of what Miss
Brissette went through, and at a far younger and tender age to boot. I am
hopeful that one day we will hear from Tiffany, but most likely not for a long
while.
The Look And Feel Of The Page
We always try to be more efficient and dress-up the page to the best of our
ability for your ease of use. We welcome your nitpicking point of views of
what you'd like to see or what should be changed and what thrown out.
Drop by Vicki's Cabinet and say hi!
To Good Health and Family,

Greetings Fans:
Separate from Molly Webber, Bree Hull has agreed to check out and flesh out
a TGTBT storyboard at her own convenience. The coauthored "The VICKI Disks" is
still in suspension until Webber elects to resuming that project again.
Nevertheless it's good news. Guys writing technologically-based fanfics is one
thing, but it's always a little more special when a female is spinning a sci-fi
yarn with their own unique more aloof vantage and comprehension of technology
(more "touchy-feelly" and emotional in terms of adventure). In fact, in many
ways "The VICKI Disks" almost reads like a woman's romance novel if you omit
the nuts-and-bolts hardware passages I supplied them. In the future I hope to
encourage more female participation in the ADA social ramifications vein, which
has really caught Mel's imagination now. I'd like fanfics/features based on a
female's view and emotional standing and unique regard of an electronic
surrogate daughter/maid in the home. I'm especially looking for a bachelorette
with Vanessa-equivalent story written by a female.

Greetings Small Wonder Fans!
With Memorial Day coming up, the sysops of The Small Wonder Home Page hope
you take time out to reflect and honor the memory and lives which have paved
the roads of free speech and expression, be it printed, electronic, or voice.
We also wish all to give former Small Wonder producer and chief writer Mel
Sherer kudos for keeping this page under his belt for a very busy guy. For
those unfamiliar with Sherer's legend, check out his credits in Yahoo or Hotbot
and you'll see that we don't have a regular Joe haunting Vicki's Cabinet here.
Mel hopes to ride the crest of any new Small Wonder production, and it's why
he's quarantined any temptations from reading only of our magnificent fanfics.
I encourage all with questions about the in and outs and background of Small
Wonder to simply post to him in our Vicki's Cabinet forum: How many times do
you ever get a chance to talk back to a Hollywood big shot?
As many of you may've experienced on 5/25/99, there was a major
interruption of service with Vicki's Cabinet early afternoon to late evening.
While we've currently no idea what happened, we'll be taking steps to minimize
such disruptions in the future. Don't forget to take advantage of Vicki's
Cabinet's alternate e-mail pipeline (VickisCabinet@fan.net) to post any
messages by in the event of such blackouts or high traffic periods.
Yes, there's a slowdown in distributing Small Wonder T-shirt transfers.
This can be expected as we're giving away--postage included--mementos like
those without any corporate or campaign financial assistance. Yup; this is a
fan-driven enterprise. So if your T-shirt's just a little/a lot late, just
remember how much's coming out of your wallet to enjoy a good freebie!
We encourage all to drop by our video section to get a taste of the early
show! It's important to remember that the differences between each seasons'
batch of shows feels slightly different. There's more emphasis on Vicki beyond
season one and the cast noticeably loosens up. However, a lot of the technical
terms in season one are grossly inaccurate and nonsensical. Season one also
displays certain off-the-wall robot powers and tricks that aren't employed in
latter seasons due to derision and correcting by Small Wonder fans. Also season
one is the "pre-Mel Sherer" season, so you might like to discuss these
differences and nitpick with the former chief writer and producer of the show
in our Vicki's Cabinet forum.
On the fanfic front I've three encouraging items: Page Co-Sysop, the
Rev. Leslie Lerias, will be issuing his stories "The Small Wonder Chronicles"
and "Small Wonder 2020" in due course. Small Wonder Mirror Page Sysop Adrian
Wong will be resuming his thoughtful fanfic "Future's End" for offering soon.
With generous prompting, "Octorocks", author of "Victoria's Secret", is
currently writing the continuation of that story. Let's all applaud the works
of these selfless individuals who take their valuable time so you can enjoy
free entertainment by sending them feedback via their e-mail addresses or our
online forum, Vicki's Cabinet! Don't forget, one e-mail "Thank you!" equals
pages of fun and adventure for you! We also encourage you to submit us YOUR
fanfics as well--no matter how crude or sophisticated!
Shortly our music section will be updated with richer, crispier sounding
files, among them the theme songs and Rev. Leslie Lerias' own contributions. We
invite those with audio-recording capabilities on their PCs to take a crack and
singing the lyrics to "Too Good To Be True" in the Theme Songs section and
submitting your renderings to us! Get your kids to chorus or solo it if you're
too skittish to be heard yourself! We also invite any artists to take a stab at
drawing Vicki, using our large inventory of videos and stills for guides.
We welcome any news you might have concerning robots and a.i. (artificial
intelligence), no matter the realm or subject it's mentioned in. We're just as
hungry for any Small Wonder related stuff you might have like mementos,
pictures taken of the cast at Disneyworld or airports, friendship or neighbor
stories or old school photos or news clippings. Nothing is too small for us to
use! Just drop me the info at SmallWonder@fan.net and we'll see if we can use
it and get you credit and on line for a T-shirt transfer!
Lastly, we ask that all fans, be they regular posters or lurkers, to pass
along the word of this page and our sister Small Wonder pages to other pages
and sites and bulletin boards. You'd not only help promote our cause to kindle
a new Small Wonder, but widen the range of fan opinions and stories for the
greater pleasure of all!
Until next time, see you Vicki's Cabinet!

Greetings Small Wonder Fans And Lurkers.
It is a New Year and despite some procrastination, the Small Wonder Home Page
has forged exciting progress within the last year. We've gained the interest
and involvement of cast members Marla Pennington and Dick Christie, and of
Small Wonders former producer, Bruce Kane, and its senior story editor, Mel
Sherer. What is most exciting is their common interest in giving Small Wonder
another go and perhaps along sci-fi lines it only teased before. We hope to act
as a fan conduit for progress reports in the formation of such a project and as
a watering hole for all of the show's former cast and crew.
The sysops of the Small Wonder Home Page (James Vipond, Pat Kellum, Lindsey
Rush, Herb Montes) at hard at long unpaid labor seeing to it that we run an
interesting, entertaining, and educational home page that goes beyond the
interests of most fan sites. V.I.C.I. is a icon of the future and this page is
proud to be among the so very few nonacademic pages to pose questions and
remark on the social ramifications of this intimate technology. One more thing
on the issue of lurking; this page serves the interested and curious, but we
can't know what the public wants unless we hear from you. We cannot understand
lurking for years on Vicki Cabinet without even saying "Hi". Fan feedback not
only determines the kinds of articles and fanfiction we carry, but fuels the
Small Wonder sysops' and fanfic authors' enthuse to commit the time and effort
to provide you with all this free entertainment and education. I cannot
understate this fact. Leaving it to others to post messages for you only limits
your enjoyment of the Small Wonder Page.
So to promote more participation, the Small Wonder T-shirt campaign has been
reactivated to reward those who leave cogent and thoughtful posts in Vicki's
Cabinet. The more who log on, the more we can do to entertain you! We welcome
all of your remarks through Vicki's Cabinet.
Have a Happy New Year!

Greetings Small Wonder Fans:
Shortly we'll be enabling you to freely download whole Small Wonder
episodes as segmented ZIP Quicktime files with 160x120 pixel image format.
First, we need feedback from YOU as to the best format that best fits
your needs. Each episode runs 22 minutes, and to maximize viewing quality with
the shortest downloading size, we are weighing the merits of your downloading
either 11 128k/bit 2 megabyte files or 22 256k/bit 2 megabyte files.
Though you'd most likely would desire the quickest download, of course,
as in life, there is a trade-off in quality for being quick. To help us
determine which format's most acceptable to you, we'd like you to drop
by the Photo Gallery and download a minute of the Small Wonder pilot in both
128k and 256k formats and tell us whether the smaller format is acceptable
enough for you or you'd rather have the better quality of the larger one.
As soon as we receive enough opinions on this posted on Vicki's Cabinet
we'll begin a schedule of episode downloads for all fans and lurkers.
Thanks for contributing!

Greetings: (Important: Be sure to update ALL your Small Wonder Page bookmarks!
You may well be missing new files and features since 11/4/98.)
There's an old saying: Few things are lonelier than whistling in the dark.
Well, this is just how most of our fanfic authors feel after knowing their work
receive high hits but no one comments or compliments them about it. This is an
old problem, starting with Octorocks ("Victoria's Secret"), Briana Hull & Molly
Webber ("The V.I.C.I. Disks"), and now Adrian Wong ("Future's End"). Even my
"Sugar n' Spice n' Everything Byte" hardly gets a post of either criticism or
comment. Artists can't live on empty. What fuels their impulse to share their
imaginations are the feedback they receive from their public. Without this fuel
their enthuse and passion to delve the many universes of Small Wonder whithers
away. I am mentioning this because there is a high likelihood that the next
installment of "The V.I.C.I. Disks" will be the last as the authoresses are
rather nonplussed to the lack of feedback in lieu the high hits their novel's
received, especially when they could've taken the time to instead refine their
novel further and sent it off to a publisher where you PAY for the enjoyment of
a good read. I can fully understand their position and feelings and I cannot
understand why Small Wonder fans or even lurkers are abstaining from feeding
their own pleasure with a thirty-second post on Vicki's Cabinet mentioning and
commenting on what they've read. Do it now! Take the time and send these
unselfish _free_ authors a "hi" or "thank you" or a flame. ANYTHING's better
than their whistling in the dark.

Greetings All:
The T-shirt wait is over! Those anticipating one expect to receive yours within
the next weeks if you already sent me your postal address! We're in the market
for Small Wonder paraphenia and momentos so if you have any, from lunchboxes to
video clips of the show or any of the cast on another one, call us! New
features are coming up before the Fall. Check out the new fanfic entries and
our QuickTime clips in the photo gallery.

Greeetings All:
1. Here's where you can directly help us as a fan! It's vital that we know
how well Vicki's home page appears on your browser, be it the formatting
of text or images. So please, even if you see nothing "wrong" with how
things appear to you, just jump over to Vicki's Cabinet and post a message
under the Subject header of "browser looks" and just give us the type
browser and computer you have and how everything looks. Also, this site
means to be _very_ Lynx friendly, so those users in particular please
speak up! You'll be helping others and the cause a million-percent!
2. Next up I need feedback on your abilities to view our Quicktime video
clips. Some can, some can't. If you can't, please tell me what browser,
computer and version of Quicktime you have. This info is important if
we're to expand our episode clip and blooper collection.
3. Folks anticipating their T-shirts please hold on a little longer. We
really want to send a perfect job to you (even though it's free!) and
all this is done crammed between mundane jobs and families. And if you
want a cherry on top as a collector, these transfers are being done by
one of the recurring cast members on Small Wonder, Daryl "Warren Enright"
Bartley!
4. Folks who WANT a T-shirt...
Please read this example to Vicki's Cabinet (it could be our e-mail as well):
Hi!
I just read all this "Small Wonder" stuff and I just want to say thank
you. Small wonder was and is my favorite t.v. show. It was so funny. I wish and
hope that they put this show back on the air. I also want to see what Vicki,
Jamie, and Harriet look like now. I really, really, really, really, really,
really really, really, really, really really, really, truly, and desperately
would love and would do anything for one of those "Small Wonder" t-shirts. I
would wear it proudly all the time.
Thanks and keep up with all the great Great GREAT "Small Wonder" stuff.
Thank you for the show compliments and please keep that
smile for what I'm about to say next: I am even telling my
COUSINS that they have to abide by our rules of getting a
Small Wonder T-shirt transfer and it's really not hard to
do. Are this "strings" or "catches"? No! The reason for
this is we've been flooded by T-shirt requests from "hit-
and-run" souvenir hunters who throw us "one-liners" of
lame questions or how they LOVE the show, but who really
don't really care beans about it or this site's cause to
get it back on the air in new forms. This page is run and
paid for (this ISN'T one of those free home page sites)
by volunteers, not a corporation, and we just simply
don't have Big Billy's deep pockets to obligue everyone.
We don't ask any to join mailing lists, tolls or for dues,
so if I let one person "slide" getting a free T-shirt
it just wouldn't be fair to others or honest of me, right?
Surely that's reasonable enough! We employ the Smith-
Barney philosophy for anyone to receive the transfer or
future mugs or whatever.
In a nutshell (to All) these are the rules and it isn't
necessary to've ever seen the show to do some:
1. Post in Vicki's Cabinet specific things you recall from
the show, both positive and negative, and how'd liked to've
seen it done. "Oh I loved it!" just isn't enough. You don't
even have to chat about the show; if you're into robots,
A.I., cybernetics or fictional robots, lay us a paragraph or
two about your passion and be as techie as you'd like!
2. Contribute a Small Wonder fanfic or artwork (this actually
earns you a T-shirt transfer AND a future mug).
3. Contribute Small Wonder memorabilia to this page, whether
photos, sounds, or physical items we can digitize.
3. Cast contact photographs during their publicity tours.
4. Seeding the I-net and usernet with Small Wonder mentions
in your posts.
5. You're a family member of the cast with a story to tell
on Vicki's Cabinet (a mug earner as well). To be verified.
6. Notify us of present-day encounters or sightings of the
cast (this takes a few weeks to verify.).
7. Get your whole dorm to write in Vicki's Cabinet. (We'll
check out their campus addresses just in case...)
8. Critique and nit-pick our page in detail where you think
it needs a nip and tuck or a major makeover or overhaul and
how'd YOU would do it. Post it (like all) in Vicki's Cabinet.
9. Running a mail-in campaign to TV stations and Fox to get
Small Wonder back on the air.
10. Read the Small Wonder Home Page front to back and ask
some biting and thoughtful questions of what you've found.
11. If you were part of the show's studio audience you get
a T-shirt (Careful! I'll quiz you in private about things
ONLY the audience would know!)
12. Critique a fanfic or a Small Wonder episode (over two
nice sized paragraphs, nada any "one-liners").
So somewhere here is an easy way to get that T-shirt!
It's waiting for you!
Lastly, please use Vicki's Cabinet not just as your Small Wonder
resource but for any questions about robotics, animatronics, and
cybernetics on the whole! Our sysops are sharpies on the subjects!
Thanks and stay tuned!!

6/3/98
Greetings:
June's begun like gangbusters in the Small Wonder camp for
information, and although the news is a bit dated it is nevertheless
fascinating. In the last two months I've had off-and-on correspondence
with a media marketing vendor; remember the name Hubert Gramm because
his perch oversees scattered bits and pieces of abandoned, still-born
and suspended media projects. Don't ask for what or who his clients are.
Gramm's been kind enough to drop me some fascinating crumbs relating to
"Small Wonder". I think it's time they came to light of day.
Since the 90's began, apparently quite a few companies tinkered with
the notion of a remake. Dick Clark and David Ruprecht's productions,
even Bellsurius, but dog-in-the-manger Fox has kept to it guns
exclusively letting Cox Communications field the show. For its own
arcane reasons the company's expressed no commitments to a series
restart or film adaptation or even rerun scheduling in the U.S. The
talk that Small Wonder will wind up on the Family Channel is just that,
vaporware. There was interest there, yes, but it ran into a brick wall
called Fox. Gramm is nonplused because Small Wonder has proven it has
legs provided you don't arbitrarily cut them off to make room for a
fourth network's trial lineup, as occurred in 1988. To Gramm, in light
Small Wonder survived in a roughhouse of high-priced short-lived bombs
from 1986-88 (the only real lasting "survivor" of those times being "The
Simpsons," itself a spin-off), Fox handled Small Wonder like an ape
appreciates a string of pearls. To be fair to Fox though, it only
"incidentally" acquired Small Wonder in 1986; it didn't create it, so
the appreciation of a self-produced property simply isn't there.
In light of Fox's curious unwillingness to let go of a show it
neither has plans to regenerate or even sell off, it's more likely that
the series will serve as the basis for an unassociated film project that
could go into production within the next few months. In a sense this
would be a film/series "inspired" by Small Wonder than actual restart.
This would afford more freedom in storylines and from any "carry-over"
royalty obiligations and foreign distribution commitments. Currently
Small Wonder's concept among several others is up for consideration at
two studios via the interests of the crew that produced "The Stupids". I
HOPE that is not an indicator. I once thought you couldn't get worst
than Disney getting hold of Vicki. So the hunt goes on for willing and
creative producers who can push Small Wonder's socio-scifi envelope the
same way "The Simpsons" has pushed adult themes in a network cartoon .
The most intriguing thing Gramm passed on was that Dick Clark and
Busy Bee productions were honing up surveys for a Small Wonder pitch two
years ago but were "rattled" by the failure of "Meego" and before that,
"The Flash" and "Mantis." These sci-fi shows had "non-space themes" which
are seen in a somewhat different light of survivability; i.e. space
sci-fi long has a built-in audience to hedge bets against. "Sabrina"'s
success gives a Small Wonder II a ray of hope. David Ruprecht's
production company still seems especially sympathetic to a new show but
in its sitcom carnation. A big question is creative control; whether to
simply retread the sitcom or go a different direction such as more
sci-fi over comedy. Gramm also mentioned new concepts such as a teenage
Vicki, a totally cgi Vicki character, and a new-age family situation to
differentiate from the older series.
In the end, it's the volume of fans and interest that will decide
how far some producers are willing to go to resurrect Vicki. Many sci-fi
fans were put-off by Small Wonder's initial juvenile storylines but saw
great potential underlying it all (please read up on the show's history;
"Series Background", "Series Post-Mortem", the Fanmail Keyhole
features, and "The Girl Inside V.I.C.I."). That the sitcom went as well
and long as it did against the competition of those turbulent times is
testimony to the fascination in its base robot-in-the-family concept.
Few fans realize that the show that aired little resembled the real
sci-fi show it could've been; In 1985, we threw away scripts
easily the equal in intelligence, maturity, and emotional punch as any
"Family Ties" and ABC fielded. Don't let this happen again! It's up to
an astute producer -- and supporting fans -- to reap it wisely and not
repeat the oversights and errors of the past.
So what can fans do? First, it appears that SOME treatment of Small
Wonder will appear within the next two years. The question is who runs
with it and how they fashion it. Our current live fanfic "The VICKI
Disks" has surprised many visitors of the high quality that a Small
Wonder story can be written. A fully entertaining and thoughtful Small
Wonder can be done, and fans can begin by making their interest and
maturity level known in letters to Fox, Variety, the major
broadcasting and cable stations, especially Family Channel and The
Sci-Fi Channel. We're trying to sow curiosity and interest in virgin
fields, and your letters make a difference. Make your Small Wonder
fanship known in your internet tag lines and occasional references to.
Ask toy shops for Vicki dolls and comic book publishers for a Small
Wonder edition. Don't let a fan mentioning Small Wonder on usernet wing
it along; go join them in support. Of course, mention and contributing
to the Small Wonder Home Page helps too. If you have any suggestions,
don't forget to drop them by.
Thanks.

Greetings Small Wonder fans:
I'm pleased to announce my technical contributions to a fanfic which will be
appearing in the FanFic section. Brian Hall is the author of "The Vicki Disks",
which is a bold cross-series treatment of both Small Wonder and Roddenberry's
"The Questor Tapes".
Not a parody but a real meeting of the genres, fans of both shows will be
pleased at the fidelity the story's been written. I was honored to serve
Hall's request for technical advice, as I am always availble for any
page-related projects of this sort. Don't hesitate to give me a ring if you
need a hand! I invite all of you to drop by the fanfic section this weekend
and enjoy!

Greetings V.I.C.I. fans!
We've a few updates you might like to look into, both features and video.
People are asking about the T-shirt.
As it stands, it's been finalized that we'll be giving away Small Wonder
thermal tee-shirt transfers instead to cut cost and allow more to win them.
How do you win one? Try one of the following. Numbers 5, 6 & 7 put you
on the Small Wonder coffee mug list if they ever come about. (Of course there's
an "if"! Who do you think I am, B.Gates??)
1. Drag in ten new fans for Vicki's Cabinet, each with non-mail ISP
addresses. I'm afraid that omits family members past one unless you can
show me each member's own separate haunts on-line.
2. Contribute to our database by adding internet mentions of Small Wonder
in as many sites you can find. Duplicated finds don't count. Happy hunting.
3. Mention Small Wonder at least twenty times on the UseNet, not as spam,
but as a mention in a relevent message within that group. Signatures don't
count.
4. Simply jotting in "Vicki's Cabinet" and sparking some intelligent and even
deep techie conversation about A.I., robots, computers, and even about Small
Wonder's premise or show in general. I even welcome blistering _intelligent_
criticism about the show or V.I.C.I.'s concept. And to show how impartial I
am, it'll be up to how many people (at least ten) respond to your original post
(or each other's) that'll decide whether you're popular enough to deserve a
win. Simple!-net.
5. A sincere non-potboiler Small Wonder fanfic story or artwork for the Fan
Gallery section. Stories could be as comedic or dramatic as you wish but must
provoke fresh feedback from at least five lurkers out there. I believe there's
enough info on this page about Small Wonder to make any non-viewer of the show
familiar enough with the family and concept to write out a do-able tale. An
idea seed for a story might be about something that seriously impacts on the
Lawson family which only Vicki's presence can help. Artwork could be as
fanciful as you'd like and can be skimmed off any of our images but must be
totally original imaginative re-renderings! Art idea seeds could be a
crackerjack "X-ray" drawing of Vicki's mechanical gizzards and gizmos.
6. Scanning or mailing to us videotape or photos of the Small Wonder cast off
the set on publicity tours or in their daily life. Many in the Small Wonder
studio audience snuck snapshots when you weren't supposed to, so this is the
time to take 'em out of the closet guilt-free!
7. A "I met a cast member!" story/sighting told in in-depth narrative. A
warning to to inventive contributors: I know bull when I spot it, so don't
risk your access to this page by pulling the wool, okay?
8. A fan's unabashed sentiments posted in Tiffany Brissette Fan Club page _and_
at least a paragraph commentary or critique of Small Wonder in Vicki's Cabinet.
9. Creating a Small Wonder newsgroup on Usenet with at least five initial
hits.
3/14/98
Greetings Small Wonder fans!
I can't relate to you the reasons or sources for my optimism, but I've
never felt surer there's a Small Wonder revival in the wings of which we'll
catch positive whiffs of by summer. This is a time for fantasy-casting the
new Lawson family and the new Vicki. Hint: check any subteens in toy or cereal
commercials as likiest prospects. (Okay, my "ideal" Lawson parents would've
been Linda Purl and James Brolin) Hopefully the new production will let
Small Wonder's socio-sci-fi potents ride unhindered this time around. If
you're too "outside" to catch my meaning, please dive inside many of the
features of the page.
Since so many ask, let me state that I have zero knowledge of the
whereabouts of Tiffany Brissette, be she among the living or otherwise. I
know there's massive curiosity out there as of her status and fate, and
hopefully something will pass my way to relay to you. One thing I'd like
emphasize is to respect her personal life course and privacy if she has
indeed given up acting for another far less consuming career. Yes, it'd
be great if we could see her act again (she could never play Vicki again
anyway even if she desired), however she's led a very trying and difficult
life in show biz without compromising her values, and no one could blame
her generally unsung and unrewarded talents for hanging it up. Let's
wish her well in whatever endevours or road she's taken.
Allow me to fill you in on what's up with this page. Much of what time
I've managed to squeeze into this page has neglected a lot of new "goodies"
such as more SW insider articles and techie features and audio-visuals so to
polish up what we already have. Today, the Episode Guides have been finally
upgraded and uploaded for view; if you take a look at the Episode Guides you'll
notice some painstaking additions and modifications in all 97 of them, begining
with production sequence numbers and original production working titles of each
episode, courtesy the very hard work of my lady combing through and collating
all my musty notes from those ancient times with the show. Their navigation
buttons have all been corrected and tweaked up as well, still if you take the
Episode Guide for a spin and spot any errors quickly drop me a line. Ditto for
the video clips which are almost all non-downloadable now for easier
viewing. I am thinking in summer of creating "rotating" multiple views of
assorted episode clips for each episode page.
Right now, I'm hoping that interest in the Small Wonder tee shirts
(free for participating in Vicki's Cabinet) perks up to make it worth my
while, so it behooves all to shout n' tout Small Wonder and this home page
on usernet, Deja News, school or company bulletin boards or what and
where-ever to reach my break-even charity threshold. At least a hundred
new faces dropping by (better, actually POSTING on Vicki's Cabinet instead
of lurking, will do the job quite nicely. Even if you post about the Powder
Puff Girls, just shift out of lurk mode people! If you're a real avid
Vicki fan, you might also want to get in touch with Small Wonder crusader
Monsterman via his e-mail hotlink in Monsterman's Corner for some advocacy
tips and advice.
Again, if you've any questions or suggestions of critiques about this
page, just e-mail us at SmallWonder@fan.net
and you'll get a much
appreciative swift reply!

Greetings Small Wonder fans!
May all be well with you. At present we're assembling our resources to
present new features and articles and multimedia for your pleasure. We've had
several delays due to the interruptions of real-life, but you're always at the
top of our on-line concerns! It hasn't looked better for the possibility of a
Small Wonder re-make or even a series restart. When you shamelessly mention the
show or this board on the I-net and usernet and bulletin boards you're sowing
the seeds for a new chapter in the saga of Vicki. For my part, I'm pulling
strings to get on the ground floor in this project because I know from fan
mail the last time that fans felt the sitcom went unfilfulled; that all of its
socio sci-fi potential went for want. I'll see that it doesn't happen again.
The Small Wonder gift offerings have been finalized. The page will give
away a Small Wonder tee-shirt sporting a neat "Vicki's Birth" image to anyone
who posts at least ten messages on the Vicki's Cabinet bulletin/chat board. The
main rule is you've got to say a lot more than "Great Page" or "I love Small
Wonder" or "I'm begging you, I need a tee-shirt!!". Sorry friends. This is
where fandom tests its meddle -- and it's not difficult, even if you'd never
seen the series. Browse deep the crevices of the page and pop out with some
good questions or critiques about the show or this page or about robots in
general and you're in! Don't be afraid to flame us on for a legitimate
reason! Lurkers don't make money or get gifts, so jump in!
Stayed tuned for new developments like some of the show's stars
graciously dropping by to say hi and field questions about their careers
and adventures in tinsletown.
Remember to leave any feedback about this page and the show at
SmallWonder@fan.net!
Be well,
JimWG (V.I.C.I.'s Uncle)
1/15/98
Greetings Small Wonder Fans!
I hope all has been well for you. The pace of new features will start
to pick up now that the holiday frenzy is over and allows time to work on
the page. There are new images in Tiffany Brissette's bio and more to come
of her and the rest of the cast. Features are in the proofreading stage,
such as the in-house and fan controversy of stowing Vicki in her "brother's"
bedroom; on mild-mannered fox Marla, and little known TV and film projects
Brissette did during her Small Wonder tenure.
In the meanwhile always take advantage of lurking into, and
better yet, posting on Vicki's Cabinet. I heartily encourage all lurkers
to; in fact if you drop by at least a post once each other day for a month
(10) on any Small Wonder or A.I., robotics, or science fiction topic you
get a free Small Wonder T-shirt well before finals. (yeah!) If you drop
us a nice SW fanfic you get the shirt at one stroke. And if you contribute
any pictures of Small Wonder's cast during their appearances around the
country you get a free Small Wonder coffee mug. You also get a shirt if
you bring on our page someone whose actual family names are the same as
members of the Lawson or Brindle families. How many home pages do that??
We'd appreciate any comments you have on the page and especially
constructive criticism to tweak up our site to your fun and satisfaction.
It's also vital we know how our MPEGS and GIFS turned out on your systems.
Don't tolerate a bad download; tell us! We can't do any lengthy video
clips until we're assured our current procedures work for you!
Thanks for holding on, and think of a nice Valentine for Tiffany's Fan
Club Page!

Happy New Year All!
Seasons Greetings!
It's another go for Vicki's Home Page and I anticipate some exciting
events this year and some fulfillments of our "wish-lists." The page will grow
in the aftermath of the holidays and will shortly include the first uploads of
the blooper clips and more episode clips well as articles, the first one
already
posted at this moment ("V.I.C.I.'s REAL Grandfather, Hans Moravec"), which is
mandatory reading for all robot fans because this is one of the most prominent
people in science who sincerely believes in our favorite V.I.C.I. coming true
in
our lifetimes!
This year will give us positive indications of a Small Wonder revival in
the works, whether a small screen treatment or even a feature film. I also see
both the cast and extras from the TV show to be dropping by as well. Please
spread this news if you're on AOL, CIS, or any school bulletin board. Thanks.
I encourage all to drop by your comments and scorchers in the new Vicki's
Cabinet and tell us what you'd like to see! With new sysops on the seat we can
field most any questionms you throw us.

Seasons Greetings!
This is my time and that of Small Wonder Home Page's sysops to
extend our sincere well-wishes on all for Merry Christmas,
Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays. Gifts aside, remember the true
reason of these festivals!
There's lots of impatience out there for more video clips and features,
but I ask all to please bide our time. We are VERY busy at our real-world
jobs this season, often working 14-hour days. We haven't forgotten the
page and soon as all the commercial insanity subsides we'll have time to
concentrate on things we really love!... ;-)
It's come to my attention that there are X-rated Small Wonder
"take-offs" circulating out there. Needless I state my and this page's
opinions regarding such, and I ask for all those with good taste and
intelligence to not give these seedy individuals' "sites" the time of day.
Vicki's Cabinet is now in full operation to take your questions, feedback
and opinions about the show. Please drop us a post. It's important for us to
know how you feel and desire for the operation of our page!
Lastly, Tiffany Brissette's birthday is coming up and I beg all to send a
sincerely gracious and devout young lady well-wishes via our
Tiffany Brissette Fan Club page.
See how easy we made well-wishing for you?
Happy Holidays all!
12/6/97
Greetings:
This month we celebrate the birthday of a Prince of Peace (that
IS the reason for all the merry and joy and shopping out there,
isn't it?) and of a remarkable true little lady. December 26th is
Tiffany Brissette's birthday and I invite all to send her greetings
and well wishes on her fan club page (a link is in Vicki's Cabinet).
Currently, page operations have been markably slowed down due to
the pace of the holidays and intensity of my jobs. The blooper clips
and other features are currently on stand-by awaiting proofreading
and trimming. I apologize for any delays and do promise that it'll
all be worth your while -- eventually.
Visit our new resident Small Wonder fan/critique, Monsterman,
in naturally enough, Monsterman's Corner, and post him any comments
on Vicki's Cabinet. Another thing; our suggestion box is always open,
whether your loved or loathed the show or have ideas to improve this
home page, please let us know!
On a closing note, kudos to Patrick Kellum and his rejuvenation
of Vicki's Cabinet. It was a hard-won job and he deserves applause
with every post.
Thanks,
JimWG
11/26/97
Greetings:
A Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans and any who share the universal
message.
Things have been slow on the page posting front due the hectic holiday
season. The SW blooper clips and new features are still in the shop
yet ready to go. We appreciate your patience. We're still making
requests for more Small Wonder fan fiction and art or any such
donations as well as our page mentions on usernet. We also ask for
comments from our international brothers about the show and where
they view it and their critiques of the show. India apparently has
lots of gung-ho SW fans! I'd particularly like to hear of Small
Wonder in Japan and any local spin-offs it may've fostered over
there! Currently, the page has a niche for anyone who'd like to
write an article on robotics, either fact-fictional, relating to or
not to the show. Just e-mail me about it.
As an asides, I feel optimistic that there will be a big screen
treatment of Small Wonder within the next few years. In what form
I cannot say, but I do feel good that such is likely now.
JimWG
11/19/97
Greetings:
I've been out of sorts and action lately, so if you see a lapse in
updates on this page it wasn't because the plug was pulled!
On a more sober note, I am re-evaluating the qualification parameters
of the Small Wonder mug offering. I've received personal e-mail
ranging from "I was Tiffany's next door neighbor" to enchanted
church congregations hailing the show's tune after seeing the light
from a fan. Look, I'd believe it if the sender provided me _proof_,
not "trust me". I'm sorry; call me Big Bad Jim, but the basic
requirements for earning a mug as posted below MUST stand. Licking
up on the show and cast gets you null points You true
fans understand why; hit-and-run souvenoir hunters won't.
On a related topic: I and this page does not endorse or condone
stalking out the Small Wonder cast in any form. Out of simple repect
for their private lives alone is ought be a given. You score NO points
here chasing down/harrassing a cast member, and I'll see to it that
it's a real negative to anyone who practices this zealous fanaticism.
Thanks.
JimWG
10/30/97
Greetings:
A free Small Wonder coffee mug??
Is it a come-on? Bait n' switch??
Nope.
Just a hardball idea to turn lurkers into traffic, that's all! I'm currently
checking out the production angles for a few dozen mugs emblazoned with the
"V.I.C.I.'s Birth" logo thanks to great local donations. I've already made a
personal committment to see this through and I hope to have some ceramic icons
of our fave cybernetic cutie in by mid-March (hey, takes time!) and since I'm
literally giving them away there's no hassle with copyright infringence.
There are already a couple of free mugs spoken for by a few hard-core fan
contributors to this page, and exactly how well the freebie policy goes in
your favor is proportional to the jungle law of first on-first served.
So what's the hitch?
Make that plural:
1. Simply jotting in "Vicki's Cabinet" and sparking some intelligent and even
deep techie conversation about A.I., robots, computers, and even about Small
Wonder's premise or show in general. I even welcome blistering criticism about
the show or V.I.C.I.'s concept. And to show how impartial I am, it'll be up to
how many people (at least ten) respond to your original post (or each other's)
that'll decide whether you're popular enough to deserve a mug. Simple!-net.
Or
Or
3. Scanning or mailing to us videotape or photos of the Small Wondere cast off
the set on publicity tours or in their daily life. Many in the Small Wonder
studio audience snuck snapshots when you weren't supposed to, so this is the
time to take 'em out of the closet guilt-free!
Or
4. A "I met a cast member!" story/sighting told in in-depth narrative. A
warning to to inventive contributors: I know bull when I spot it, so don't
risk your access to this page by pulling the wool, okay?
Or
5. A fan's unabashed sentiments posted in Tiffany Brissette Fan Club page _and_
at least a paragraph commentary or critique of Small Wonder in Vicki's Cabinet.
Or
6. Creating a Small Wonder newsgroup on Usenet with at least five initial
hits.
And finally,
7. For those too strung-out or just plain lazy to do above, on a given
single-night in January there'll be a Small Wonder quiz (as many questions
as V.I.C.I.'s tall in centimeters) made up from info readily available on
this home page. I promise that it will separate the men from the boys
(and girls from women) in its depth of the show, tech, and characters.
Happy fan-ning!
JimWG
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This page hasn't been updated all week due several events, among them a
job strike, the funeral of a close uncle and the sheer lack of time between
two jobs and sleep, not to mention coaxing (a gentle term) fam and friends
to rummage my old production logs for goodies for this page.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If this site or parts of it look funny on your browser, tell us!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love talking techie about robots and computers (to think I started
out a marine bio major!), especially as it relates to V.I.C.I. of course! I
hope to provoke a discussion in Vicki's Cabinet among you lurking engineering
types out there about the guts and nuts and bolts required to create a real
V.I.C.I. today, from motive drives to A.I. to latex skin. In time I hope to
erect a "V.I.C.I. Feasibility" scale from 0 to 100 indicating the current
status of technology of her various elements. So you techies out there, hop
on in!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tiffany Brissette Fan Club Page is up, and it can be accessed via
her bio here or via major search engines (once they file the address).
The page is meant as a tribute for fans to an unfulfilled actress and a
remarkably bright and talented young lady without exaggeration. It's
not really meant as a bulletin board about Brissette but a fandom site
to post your feelings, reminsces and compliments about her, though Q and
A's will be fielded if possible. Hopefully we'll have her former schoolmates,
stage and TV acquaintances and ex-neighbors dropping in their own memories.
In this, if you find any media or entertainment directory or glossary
site without mentions of the fan club (or the Small Wonder page itself), please
drop us a line if you're unable to submit our addresses yourself, in which
case you'd our most profound thanks! This board can't exist without its fans,
and your comments and contributions are most welcome. We've also hard-core
devoted fans such as Jusuf Santoso who is selflessly donating videos of
Miss Brissette co-hosting the 700 Club and Pat Kellum lending his programming
skills to construct Vicki's Cabinet new thread-based message system. Such
efforts receive our deepest infinite thanks!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
From the Tiffany Brissette Fan Club page:
How healthy is our lovely heroline?
Very.
In last March 2nd's Los Angeles Marathon, she placed 921 among 5312
females, 101 in her age class of 545, finishing in 4:33:06, placing
5110 in an overall herd of 15,899. (I should be so spritey!) so
let's give the little lady a hand!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Points to ponder:
Among those child players who auditioned for the role of Vicki was
Heather O'Rourke (of "Poltergeist" fame, who supplanted pre-SW
Tiffany's recurring role on "Webster" before her tragic death),
and Natalie Gregory, familiar to many in TV appearances from
Magnum P.I., Mr. Beleverdere to Irwin Allen's all star TV
movie "Alice In Wonderland" (as a teaser of future videos, you'll
see teens Tiffany and Natalie together again in an unsold pilot).
I think lovely runner-up Heather would've made a cute Vicki and
Natalie a perfect Vanessa because she effects a viperess very well.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I've been rendered speechless!
No hands down, if you're deep into ANYTHING relating to robotics,
whether fact, fiction or production, then you've GOT to check out
Arrick Robotics's Robot
Information Central. It there was ever a
place deserving to be called the United Robotronics of the real-world,
this is it! My hat's off to them on a thorough site devoted wholly to
all things and beings robotic.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
A little art contest is on at the Fan-Fic section. Be anon if you
wish, but try your luck!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
A Small Wonder Page mirror?
I was asked about this on the job: "Say, you know what happened
to Apple!" (by hogging the field to themselves).
So I'm taking into consideration of authorizing Small Wonder Page
spin-offs or mirrors, if you will, to any fan who believes they
can spread the cause and have the tapes and media to carry on
independently with a mutually shared resources aggreement.
What do you think?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
More Small Wonder first season promos are coming! Really!
Also, Quicktime clips of Tiffany Brissette in commercials and
movies and other TV shows. (Now, if I only have the time!...)
If you're having trouble viewing our Quicktime videos --
LET US KNOW!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
For me, the beauty, charm, and sincere femininity that is
Tiffany Brissette is best expressed in the short Science Museum
PSA in the photo gallery. See her out of her Vicki threads and
manner and see why the guy who's hooked her today is about the
luckiest guy in the world.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tiffany Brissette Fan Club is now in operation and under
continuous construction as an off-shoot of this page. This
extremely talented and strikingly lovely and demure young
actress had a promising television career trashed by undue
typecasting and not a little Tinseltown anti-Christian bias.
It can be accessed via the Small Wonder Home Page or directly via
any web search engine. It will contain all the various clips
of Miss Brissette in non-Small Wonder roles and movies and
commercials and PSAs. We'll be moving some of our current
pixs of her from the Small Wonder page to that one. We
welcome all contributions, whether you've photos or videos of
the Small Wonder cast at publicity tours or on the set or just
street sightings, we not only wish to know when and where,
but we'd like to see your shot!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Check out "Multitasking Vicki" if you can! In the Photo Gallery.
It's worth the download, believe me! Background in Gallery.
"Nerd Crush" is the 2nd promo of a series. This one was skimmed off
WNYW-TV in New York. It is an "abridged" version, the cuts being
evident from the station editing it down for expanded commercial
time. We might have a full version from WTXX-TV, but it is of very
poor visual quality. Note how much the kids have grown from these
early promos to the wrap over four years later.
FYI, these are a series of first-run first-season promos for the show
provided by a loyal anon fan. (We're always on the lookout for pics &
tapes of the show and of the cast on and off the set so if you have
access to any please e-mail us via JimWG!) It's just amazing to see
how tiny Tiffany was back in those early days! Be aware that they're
not necessarily the full promos as distributed by Metromedia, because
local stations tend to edit and cut them to ribbons to wedge in more
commercial time. They were taped from Connecticut and have been
trimmed from both ends for maximum compression and minimum loading
time, so you won't see much of the station logos heading or trailing
each piece. We'll keep them as near chronological order as we can but
there are gaps. Also be warned that some are in visually poor shape
due to bad reception and VCR tape but the audio is fair. We'll inform
fans as to the condition of each upload as we go. Due to the limits of
our server's storage space, these promos will be rotated on the page
once a week, and any particular one not up can be requested for e-mail
attachment. This includes the "Digital Love" Mac teaser clip and any
other QuickTime movie. It's to the advantage of all fans to mention
and alert others (yes, even acid-spitting SW critics!) about our page
and these clips to maximize their coverage to all before being
rotated.
Other page articles are coming but progress will be a little slow due
to my current day-jobs (two) workload and exhaustion. We have a page
facelift coming along with some new expanded features that I'll bring
up in the next bulletin. Another call to fan fiction artists! DON'T BE
SHY!! Send us your stories or artwork to our fanfic section! Remain
anonymous if you wish but send! It doesn't only have to be about Small
Wonder, just anything on robots or computers! Be a fan and join in the
page! ;-D

ANNOUNCEMENT!!
Thanks the generousity of a devoted fan, we
have videotapes of Small Wonder's first
season promos. They run approximately
twenty seconds each. Our intention
is to convert these into QuickTime movies
that might run around 500k. Because these
are more readily available than the QT
episode clips also planned, we'll start
loading them in the Photo Gallery over
the Labor Day weekend.

To All Small Wonder Fans
Regretfully, due to the huge workload I'm undergoing in non-internet life, I've
had to cut back on the introduction schedules of many features promised before
summer, such as the Episode Guide QuickTime movie bits and more insider
articles (which requires collating papers from production logs and studio
newsletters and some from sheer memory.) These features will appear, but
currently not as quickly as we'd all like. As fall works on into winter most of
these ideas ought be up and running, but the only promise I can assure is that
they will appear eventually. In the meantime, I very much encourage all to send
in suggestions for the page and any tidbits you might have in Small Wonder on
local TV stations and any reports of cast sightings. I am also very interested
in personal pictures people may've had taken with the cast or in the studio
audience, and the best way to get these seen is to please spread the word about
the page at school, on the net and local bulletin boards. We're also recruiting
a fandom "Get The Facts Straight" squad to prowl the I-net and correct any
mistatements about the show and cast, so just drop me a line if you're
interested. Thanks!
