*Written by John Garfield Swanson: In August of 1997, my wife, Opal, and I went to Stenestad to find graves of relatives, including Else and her husband, Nils. We were unable to find any graves, but met a couple from Ystad, Olle and Karin Fihnn, who have a summer cabin in Stenestad. They were very helpful to us and introduced us to a few of the townspeople. In fact, they even went so far as to open up the museum so that we could go through it, even though it was a Sunday. One of them was Elsie Johansson. We left a copy that I had made of relatives that I thought might be buried in and around Malmohus Ian. In December of 1997, we received a letter from Olle and Karin Fihnn in which they enclosed a review that Elsie did of some of the relatives in Stenestad. Lo and behold, the very house that the museum was in was the residence of Else and Nels and their seven children! How unbelievable that we had been standing in the very house that belong to my great, great, grandfather, his wife, and children!
