They say that if you don't like the weather in Wisconsin, just wait a few minutes.  Looks like a storm is moving in.  Here is view of a transfer run pulled by two EMD switchers returning to the Menomonee River Valley Yards with some cars of from the Pabst team tracks on the beer line.

A quirk of the city of Milwaukee's growth, The Pabst Brewery is less than a mile from the main yards in the valley, but the distance along the track is over 6 miles.  The city grew so fast, that the railroad was economically unable to buy the downtown land to shorten the trip with a more direct route.

Here is a pair of brand new EMD Switchers pulling a cut of cars from the Chestnut Street Line.  Usually, Fairbanks Morse diesels work this line, so we were lucky to catch these locomotives on the transfer run from the breweries.
